Text Your Agent
This blog post was released on the seventh of May 2026.
Good ideas
I really liked how OpenClaw lets you use messaging apps to chat with your agent. It is a pretty simple idea, but an extremely important one. I've used OpenClaw and Hermes, and both get the job done.
Why?
I decided to integrate Matrix with my agentic system as one of the ways to communicate with an agent. There are probably existing implementations, and you could probably use something like Discord or Telegram, but that's not the point.
The most important customer for this product is myself at the moment. I don't see a need to add features that are not important. My main goal is to keep the flow simple and make it feel natural.
It doesn't matter what exact tech is behind it, but I think a decentralized messaging platform is good enough for a local-first multi-agent system.
Multi-agent what?
I don't think the terminology is there yet, as there are various terms for similar things: agentic environments, harnesses, CLIs, and systems. I decided to go with the latter, as it sounds closer to an operating system. I think it can become something comparable.
I'm also working on customization. The system already features some degree of personalization, but there is still space to improve.
Social experiments
I decided to experiment with YouTube Shorts. YT Studio gives you a lot of analytics tools, so you can examine different metrics. That's why I decided to pay more attention.
Of course, this is a different form of content. I think it can be used for experiments, tests, and a general examination of how retention works. It also gives me an opportunity to learn these analytics tools.
Codex experience
Overall, I'm satisfied with Codex. I probably need to learn its toolset more. GPT 5.5 is great, and 5.5 Pro is also cool.
Anthropic got some compute from Musk, so they even threw a bone to their customers by letting them burn their weekly allowance twice as quickly without raising the token limit.
We'll see how it works out in a month or two. Maybe we'll have to go back to Claude Code because Codex enshittifies.
Bye
I think I will come back with one more high-quality piece of content on this wonderful website this week. To be continued.
